Instead I think I will just blog.
This semester has been the best of my college career and in a way I am sad to see it end. I just turned in my capstone advertising campaign:
AOL AIM INSIDER.
AOL AIM INSIDER.
Watch for it in about a year. In one week I will be done with college...weird.
Next semester I am going to be an
Advertising/Marketing intern at Community Action Services and Food Bank in Provo.
Thanks to Miss Meg's (explanation bellow) great Sunday school lesson last Sunday, I am really getting into the Christmas spirit. Apparently Miss Colette is too because she turned us all into elves. I think we look pretty good.Miss Debbie:
Our apartment was randomly selected to participate in the census, BEFORE, we moved in. The girls didn't send it in before I moved in, so the poor census lady, I believe her name is Debbie had to track us down herself. As I was driving down to Vegas to watch the BYU vs. UNLV game, I got a message from said Debbie:
"Hey Miss Amanda! This is Debbie! Miss Colette gave me your number and I just need you to call me back so that I can as you a few quick questions!"
If anyone ever deserved exclamation points, it was Debbie. She said Miss before she said my name or any of my roommates names every time. I tried calling her several times on the way down to Vegas, but we kept losing our connection just when we finished shooting the breeze.
I had decided that if she called again while I was in Vegas I wasn't going to answer because I was on vacation and I didn't feel like telling happy Debbie how much money I didn't make last year so that she could send her report to Uncle Sam.
Alas, my phone rang while I was deciding between a black or grey scarf at H&M. (I went with the grey one) I answered it with a bad attitude, just hoping to get it over with. By the end of the convo, I was in the best mood ever. Debbie made me feel like I was her best friend. I happily handed over Miss Meg and Miss Donelle's phone numbers. When she was a little girl I doubt she dreamed about becoming a census lady, but she makes the most of it and makes others happy while doing it. Inspiring.
