My mom is visiting my brother and his fam in Durham right now. Not so sure that's where I'd want to be today. March Madness is kind of a big deal among the Hansen clan. My brother used to take a portable TV to school so that he could watch in between classes and seemed to come down with a bad 24 hour bug whenever Duke played. Just like he did during the OJ Simpson trial...but that's another story for another day. Needless to say, we are all mourning their loss. We have a family bracket contest on Yahoo.com. Don't worry. I am currently in second place. Knock on wood. The stakes are high. Winner picks where we go for dinner and what movie we go see. Baby Dallin had Duke winning the championship so his bracket is shot. Good thing because I was not looking forward to baby food and Elmo Goes to the City.
You may be curious as to how a one year old goes about making selections for his bracket. I will tell you. First my brother cut out the name of each team in a match up and held them up for Dallin to make his choice. When that got old, Doug had to get a little more creative. He put treats on top of each team and which ever treat Dallin chose went on his bracket. (Only one treat was provided for the Duke games as well as one treat on Mount Saint Mary's to avoid choosing UNC) Dallin is also the inspiration for the title. Every time I call, I can hear him yelling,
"BALL BALL BALL BALL BALL" in the background.
The real reason for this post is because I am crazy jealous of my mom right now. She gets to play with this cute boy all weekend:

He's too cute! Soooo, I totally think you should plan a trip to visit him in oh I dunno...5 months or so :)
Also, I'm sad that Duke lost but oh so glad that I, at the last minute, switched them to losing in the semi-finals rather than in the finals, where I originally had them!
