Still making lemonade

I've been doing my best to keep it positive, but I need a minute to vent. Finding a new house and a new job at the same time is not a good idea. Working at McCann for the past three weeks was...good. It was great to be busy and get some monies. Whether or not I will be contracting in there in the future is still up in the air. But I have a few other things in the works (including an interview at the U of U on Wednesday, keep your fingers crossed) which is why I've decided to move (most likely to a house in the Sugarhouse area). Our lease is up at the end of August. It's going to be hard, but it's time to say goodbye to my sweet-spirited neighbors.

So I now find myself with no official job and no home in three weeks. Nothing but the clothes on my back and my ever optimistic outlook. It's not that bad. But it is bad enough that I watched Dating in the Dark tonight. Ashlee and I are so stressed that we needed an hour to turn off our brains. Dating in the Dark was the first thing that we came across to make that happen. My life might not be that exciting right now, but at least I'm not desperate enough to go on a reality show where I meet three guys in the dark spend about two hours with each and expect to find true love out of it.

My goal is to have a home and a job by the end of the week. Reach for the stars and you'll land on the moon. Whether that happens or not, I'm going to Oceanside California next week! Can't even tell you how excited I am about that.
