Best Present Ever

The Challenger space shuttle blew up 24 years ago and I was born 24 years ago on January 28, 1986.

Seven years later, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman made her debut on the small screen. Every Saturday for the next six years I watched Dr. Michaela Quinn brave the frontier, saving one life after the next while caring for three young orphans who soon grew to love her and even called her Ma. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love with her oldest son, Matthew, while she fell in love with Sully (I thought they would make great in-laws).

And now, 12 years later, I am the proud owner of the complete box set. All six seasons and two full length feature films. 120 hours. Thanks Mom and Dad!!

Can I please come watch it with you? I was actually visiting my sister in California last week and we were driving through the mountain terrain of Malibu and my sister told me that that show was filmed at the Paramount Ranch nearby. Ever since I've been anxiously compelled to watch it!

Happy 24th Amanda dear! Sorry I am late. Nothing (or no one) says happy birthday like Dr. Quinn. She was the love of my childhood. God bless her for the hero she is.

I just told Jake like two days ago that I really felt like watching Dr. Quinn again. He just laughed but I really do. I'm jealous that you can watch it anytime you want.
