Passing through the seven levels of the candy cane forest

We took advantage of the long weekend and headed up the canyon (along with 1,000,000 other people). Here is a photographic representation of the experience:

When you gotta go, you gotta go. Luckily the outhouse was open.

I SPY: Can you find me?

Here's Leslie being super helpful when my snowshoes came off in thigh-high powder...really though she was very helpful after capturing the moment on film...or memory card.

We have mastered the art of the self photo.

Before...

After...Les fell for no apparent reason after taking the photo of the stream above. Good thing she didn't fall forward.

Still having fun.

I believe this was taken shortly after we jumped over the river raging five feet below us (read: took an extra long step over the trickling stream five feet below).

The remaining photos are from our outing to Soldier Hollow a week ago. The snow was awful. But the sun was shinning.

Enjoying an ice treat.

I am not taking a knee...the snow was very icy/unstable and every other step I either sunk down in the snow or fell over.

Exhibit 26. Face plant.

Where oh where oh where is shadow?

That looks like so much fun! Of all my years living in Utah, I never once went snowshoeing.

Oh my word...I love these pictures Panda! You are so adventurous! And just as hilarious as ever.

PS When Leslie is making that snow angel I felt like I was listening to myself...does she sounded like me in real life?
