One year ago

A year ago today, Leslie and I arrived in New England. When we came back, I blogged about the first day and then fell into a blogging rut and never documented the rest of the adventure. I've decided to relive it day by day because we had a grand time. Here's a recap of Day One. I've been craving fresh pressed apple cider lately but flying to New York isn't feasible right now as the new job starts tomorrow. I experienced an apple cider miracle yesterday.

For some reason Leslie, Colette and I decided that it would be a good idea to go to Gardner Village. Turns out the rest of Utah decided to go too. It was the Witches Festival and there were thousands of people with giant witch hats crammed into the tiny little shops. Not fun. So we powered through (we payed $5 for parking...we were committed) and then left to go to a produce stand/barn that my mom and I discovered last week. It's called Riley's Farm Fresh and it's located on 700 W. just south of 7200 S. We stopped in to buy some apples and squash and low and behold they are PRESSING CIDER! Luckily Leslie brought a water bottle with her and they filled it right up with the most delicious cider. It's nothing like apple juice that you buy at the store. My wish for you is that you experience fresh cider in the very near future.

Anyway, the second day of the trip was a Sunday and we went to church and I took a few naps still trying to get the Bonine out of my system. So that will suffice for day two. Day three will be published on Tuesday. Get excited.
