Cougar Cruise 2011

I've been home from this vacay for six days and I'm still experiencing severe withdraws. The weather was absolutely perfect and the company was even better. We desperately missed Jessica, Ashley, Candice and Monica and I'm already looking forward to San Diego 2014.

We gave each other gifts when we boarded the ship and this was mine:

Monarch of the Seas...what a gem. I am prone to motion sickness and we had some rough waves, but I swear by the Sea Band. It's like a little sweatband with this thing that pushes your pressure point. Sounds like a bunch of hogwash, but it totally works.

This was taken as we were leaving Florida. It was windy.

We sang "Bye Bye Bye" at karaoke night. This guy jumped up and helped us out by dancing.

The first stop was Cococay...Royal Caribbean's private island.

Here we are at the formal dinner night. Every square inch of our table was covered with food every night.

Second stop was Nassau. We went on a tour of the island which ended at Cabbage Beach where we relaxed and reminisced for hours.

Here we are on the Queen's Staircase carved out by slaves.
Most beautiful beach I've ever been to. I get a kick out of this picture because we are all leaning in as if we won't fit in the picture. "Hey Luc! Is this guy bothering you? He's...leaning." Thank goodness for timers on cameras!

Elizabeth gave us beach bags with our initials on them in our favorite colors.

The view of Nassau from our ship:
First time playing shuffleboard.
We had a photo finish on this one...ruled in bounds.

On the ship they had, "Build Your Own Sea Pet." I like to call it "Build Your Own Nightmare."
Not pictured: Day at sea. Just close your eyes and imagine us laying out on the top deck all day sipping pina coladas.

After the cruise we loaded up our fanny packs and headed to Universal Studios in Orlando to check out Harry Potter Land before our 5:30pm flight. I haven't read Harry Potter, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Butterbeer.

Here we are at the Magic Castle or Hogwarts or something.

Frozen cream soda with butterscotch and some foamy buttery topping?? Yes please.

I loved every minute of this vacation and I'm so glad we were able to do it! I'm even more glad that I met such amazing women as a freshman at BYU. I think about our memories from the glory days often and look forward to making more memories for years to come.
