Breaking Dawn

Men: I know what you're thinking. "Not another post about this stupid book!" But I'm pretty sure you will want to continue reading...

On Friday night around midnight, I went to Barnes & Nobel with Katie Squires and Donelle Crandell. We wanted to check out the scene and of course read the book.

Just as we were passing the University Mall Katie says, "Where are we going?"

I was thinking, I know it's late but come on Katie, this is the only B&N around. Apparently there was also a release party at the BYU bookstore, which is one minute from my apartment. Oops. Seeing as how we were one stop light away from B&N we decided to check it out. THOUSANDS of people were waiting in line. Insane-o! We drove through the parking lot to capture the moment, and then we went back to the BYU bookstore where there was NO line. So I had this brilliant idea.

"Guys, we should buy extra copies and go sell them to people waiting in line. I bet that the people at the end of the line will pay $50 just so they can go home." So Katie and I buy two copies, Donelle bought one and we were on our way back to B&N. We put our best saleswomen faces on (sketchy at best) and attempted to make a deal. No one seemed remotely interested. No one. We shuffled back to the car, heads hanging low, with five copies of Breaking Dawn in hand. Apparently these people get some sort of high from waiting in line all night. Whateva.

But don't worry. Katie sold her extra copy to a friend that night, and I sold my extra copy to a friend at work...Thanks Anna!

Shoot. I was hoping you were going to say that you went back to B&N and read all the spoiler parts of the book out loud to the people waiting in line. That's what I would have done. Seriously... I just don't get the hype.

Good effort, though. :)

I just got my copy from the library and I am sooo excited to read it. Jake said he'd see me in a couple of days and poor Evie is going to be ignored.

Thanks for going to all that trouble so i don't have to wait for 2658 people to get it ahead of me at the library!

Ha! Great Idea! Funny story, I pre-ordered mine from Amazon, thinking I'd get it sooner...I STILL DON'T HAVE IT!! Never doing THAT again! :) Don't let me know anything. Can't wait!
