The internet is down. Can’t really do much at work when the network is down. I cleaned my desk. Took about 30 seconds. I’m a little OCD when it comes to my desk, ok? Hmmm…I can’t even blog right now. Yes I can! Microsoft Word…copy and paste.
I might have mentioned in an earlier post that we have a Starbucks machine in the kitchen. Did I also mention that the smell of freshly brewed coffee makes me gag and feel a little dizzy? Well it does. That is the worst part about sitting next to the kitchen. Needless to say I have wanted to take a baseball bat to the thing since day one (June 30, 2008).
That all changed today. It was freezing cold when I got to work (literally…the Zion’s Bank sign that I pass on my way to work said 32 degrees and I trust Zion’s Bank) and all I wanted was some hot chocolate. As I was making my daily bowl of Quaker Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal, I remembered that the Starbucks machine also brews my heart’s desire. I hadn’t tried it out yet because A of all it wasn’t cold enough yet and B of all I was a little intimidated by the size and many buttons on the thing. What if I pushed the wrong button and passed out from the overwhelming aroma of coffee? It’s now or never. So I get my Styrofoam cup and start pushing buttons…very slowly and with a high level of concentration. Tall. Decaf. Cappuccino.

Next thing you know I have a perfect cup of frothy hot chocolate. And I mean frothy. There was a good half inch of froth. I now have a love hate relationship with the Starbucks machine.
The internet is back up.

Oh yes, love the starbucks machine. My favorite is when the coffee smell mixes with the Cup-O-Noodles smell and the Left-Overs smell right around lunch time. Mmmm. Nothing like those mixtures to get a gal's appetite up and running (gag). Hope you're having a great week!
Meanwhile, all of your coffee-drinking coworkers are giving high fives and saying "Look! We got that Mormon girl to crack. Now she'll know where the local coffee shop is!"
Bubs and I went to Starbucks on saturday and the hazelnut hot chocolate is fantastic!!! You must try it sometime! (If you like hazelnut of course). So glad you were brave and tried out the machine.
