Amanda and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat

Last night I had a dream that Hermana Richardson came home from her mission. We were all sitting in some dirty, shady, alley welcoming her home and asking her questions about the mission. She would not answer any of my questions or even look at me. It was like I was invisible. I was so mad at everyone for ignoring me that I woke up in the middle of the night.

I’m still mad at you, by the way, but it reminded me of another dream that I had a month or two ago, that I’ve been meaning to tell you all about…you all being my dear friends from the 181. So here it is:

I get a call from Sister Hood saying that she just can’t stand to be away from all of us anymore and that she is in the airport about to leave Chile. I say, “Great idea Hood! I can’t wait to see you. I’ll gather the gang and we’ll see you in Colorado Springs.”
So we all meet up at a stake center in Colorado. EVERYONE is there…the chapel is full of everyone I ever met at BYU anxiously awaiting the not so triumphant return of Robyn Hood.

All of the guys and Taylor are playing basketball…which Candice isn’t one bit happy about. Elizabeth is heading up food preparation and directing traffic from the kitchen to the cultural hall with the help of Shaylee, Colette, Jessica, Ashley and myself. But where is Moni? She is basically the best cook out of all of us and she is nowhere to be found.

Elizabeth sends me out to track her down. I wander the halls, look in the chapel, check the classrooms and finally resort to walking around the outside of the building. It is really cloudy, windy, and cold. Just as I am hurrying back inside, I hear a phertghergh from the parking lot. I turn around to see if it was a duck or a friend, and in the very back corner of the parking lot I see Moni and Brad. As I get closer I realize that they are smoking cigarettes that are about ten inches long.

Naturally I am in complete shock.
“Brad! What are you guys doing? Are you still Mormon? We aren’t supposed to smoke!”
He replies with, “Relax, it’s a new pilot program and they say it’s OK to smoke now. Here…try one.”
I say, “OK. If you say so.”
I glance at Monica with fear in my eyes and she reassures me with, “No really, it’s OK. You know that Brad wouldn’t do it unless it was OK.”
I ask, “You can still go to the temple?”
Brad answers, “Yup…you sure can.”

So I light up and smoke away. We hear cheers and applause booming from the church, stomp out our cigs, and head inside to greet Sister Hood of the Traveling Missionary…then I wake up laughing hysterically.
