Too good to be true?

Shhhhh…

Do you hear that?

That is the sound of peace and quiet.

On March 1st, I sent an email to the management of my apartment complex regarding my neighbors upstairs (see here and here to refresh your memory):

I filed a complaint at the office regarding my neighbors about a month ago and the problem has only gotten worse. The guys who live above me in apartment #30 are incredibly rude and disrespectful. They are constantly yelling the F*** word and screaming at their video games. This happens almost every night until 11 or 12 and on occasion even later. My roommate and I have been awakened many times by their yelling and it is extremely disorienting and frightening. They also throw things or jump really hard. I also know that a very young boy is in the bedroom next to them and I would be pretty upset if I were his parent. This has been going on since they moved in months ago and it really needs to be taken care of quickly. I'm going insane. I've also had a number of people tell me that they've heard my neighbors yelling while they were walking by outside. Please contact me by email or phone. And it worked! Can you believe that? I think that, “I’m going insane” is what did it. I haven’t heard the mother of all swears or machine guns coming from the room above me for a whole week. Hallelujah.

Management never actually responded to my complaint, so it is quite possible that my neighbors decided to give up video games and cursing for lent. But maybe, just maybe, they told them that they would be evicted if they offended my little ears again.
