Paradise my eye.

And for the third post of the day...

Hey step off. I don't have a job. I can publish as many posts as I want to.

Mother and I went to Paradise Bakery and Cafe for lunch the other day. This used to be one of my favorite places. We had salads and rolls. MOLDY rolls. My mom went to show the punk boy our nasty rolls and he kindly replaced them with two MOLDY rolls. I was T.O.ed to say the least. So I took them back to the punk boy and showed him the mold...maybe he's a visual learner...and asked for a refund. I was under the impression that we had paid separately for the rolls seeing as how I had to ask for them. He explained that the rolls came with the salad. That was it. No apology. No here's a cookie instead of the roll. Nothing. So I gave him my meanest look and went back to the table. I kept my eye on that punk and at the register and he didn't notify anyone that the bag of rolls was MOLDY and needed to be thrown out. He just let them hand out the MOLDY rolls like it was NBD.
My mom checked the receipt and sure enough we didn't pay extra for the rolls. She let it go and happily finished her salad. I was still ticked and spent the rest of the time trying to spot a manager, but I couldn't see anyone who looked like they had any authority or sense of customer service. MOLDY rolls at a BAKERY! Come on now.

Nasty. I am concerned. You should have thrown your rolls at him. If Donelle was there, she could have spilled her water on them (she is good at that), then you could have thrown them at him!

Oh no! This is awful news. I love Paradise but I hate this story. You should write a complaint to them. I bet they will give you a gift certificate or something.

Here I'll write the letter for you. Then you can take me to lunch when you get the gift card... :)

Dear Paradise,
I have been a long time customer of your lovely bakery and cafe. Your salads and sandwiches bring joy to my taste buds and comfort to my heart. Not to mention the soft, delectable morsels of goodness that come in the form of freshly baked cookies. When I think lunch, I think Paradise Bakery.
However, today when I visited the ----- location, I had an extremely disappointing experience. Shocking, really. So disappointing, in fact, that I will probably not be returning for Paradise's business in the future, nor will I be recommending it to others.
Here is what happened. My mother and I were dining on our salad and rolls when we noticed the rolls were MOLDY. As I brought this to the attention of the cashier, he promptly switched the rolls, but with two other MOLDY rolls.
I again returned to the cash register and was met with indifference from this same employee. No apology was given, and he did not make any effort to remedy the problem.
In the past I have always been treated with courtesy and respect and friendliness from your employees, which is why this instance was so surprising.
Based on my past experience, it seems to me that your company does care about customer service, which is why I wanted to bring this to your attention.
Thank you,
Amanda Hansen
